Tritone Experiment

This experiment contains 16 blocks with 12 tone pairs in each block. The differences between blocks, apart from the orderings of the pitch classes shown in the booklet, are solely differences in the positions of the spectral envelope. There are four envelope peaks altogether: C4, F#4, C5, and F#5. Each envelope position is presented four times; once for each of the four different orderings of the pitch classes. The order of the envelope peaks (by block) is:

F#4, C4, C5, F#5,      F#4, C5, F#5, C4,      F#5, C4, F#5, C5,      F#4, C4, F#4, C5
